THE PROPOSAL

A Brief History of The Betrothed

After their first encounter while attending acting school in Vancouver the year of 2016, Nick and Ebony unknowingly set off a series of events that has culminated into their wedding a decade later.

In fact, they had known they were going to get married even before the proposal. The Manor was booked as their wedding venue in 2024, almost a year before their engagement. Nick had mentioned to Ebony that he didn't want to propose in Australia or Canada, preferring somewhere novel to them both. A trip was booked to visit Japan for the second time together and the die was cast.



At dusk on the 7th of September 2025 (exactly 9 years to the day they first saw each other), after a full day of exploring the World Expo in Osaka, Nick took Ebony to the Italian Pavilion where he had someone waiting to greet them personally. They were taken in through a side door, passing the line, and looked at art and sculptures including those from Michaelangelo and Da Vinci, eventually leading to the second story rooftop. On this night, during a super blood moon, a drone show commenced in the sky, and after the Tree of Life appeared as a backdrop, Nick got down on one knee and asked the question. The rest is history.
